| Note: This product is now
discontinued. I have heard rumors that this was a result of
pressuring from Microsoft to "encourage" Intel to leave the
multimedia products market. Thus, Intel has stopped making all audio
and video devices.
The Intel Pocket Concert is a truly wonderful MP3/WMA player. I purchased mine when they were still fairly new largely because of its capacious 128 MB of storage. It provides excellent battery life and is a very durable player. The display is easy to read and the controls easy to use. The included headphones are great for listening to music while on the go or working out. If you get a chance to buy one on the cheap on eBay or elsewhere and are in the market, I highly recommend getting one. However, make sure that you get rechargeable batteries for it. I bought the Intel accessory kit which includes a carrying case, an drop-in type recharger that also has an uplink port to the computer's USB interface and has an RCA type audio output jack-set, and a set of 2 AAA rechargeable batteries which I am still using to this day. They are NiMH rechargables. They tend to run for about a week of my typical listening, probably about 7 hours or so. This is an extremely reasonable amount of runtime from a single charge.
